I'll explain how the platform works, share practical tips and answer your questions along the way.

The aim is to give you the confidence to continue independently — discovering historical records, connecting with relatives and growing your family tree.

This personal service is usually provided in your own home or aged care residence and is available throughout the Sydney metropolitan area. By the end, you'll have started a family tree and a rewarding journey into your family's history.

Genetic Reconciliation of Biological Relationships

Sometimes questions arise about whether a biological relationship is really what family history, documents or family knowledge suggest. DNA testing can provide clarity — but choosing the right approach is important.

In this free, confidential consultation, we’ll discuss your particular question, which DNA testing options may be appropriate, who ideally should be tested, and what the results may or may not be able to establish before you decide how to proceed.
The tests are aimed at establishing first- or second generation relationships, e.g. between a father and a child or a grandparent and a grandchild.

Following the consultation we will conduct a scientific comparison of DNA between two individuals to establish genealogical connections or confirm non-paternity events. Individual tutoring - Advanced DNA methods for small matches and GEDMatch

Standard DNA matching is excellent for recent family connections, but becomes more limited when research reaches deeper into the past. For experienced family historians, small DNA matches and advanced genetic genealogy methods can provide additional clues.

This individual tutoring session explores GEDmatch and advanced DNA analysis, focusing on smaller DNA segments and distant relationships. Depending on your goals, we can cover one-to-one comparisons, chromosome browsers, segment analysis, shared matches, triangulation, clustering and different matching thresholds.

You will learn what small DNA matches can — and cannot — reveal, including the distinction between genealogically useful segments, coincidental matches and older shared ancestry, and how DNA evidence can be combined with documentary research.

Using your own DNA data, matches and ancestral lines, the aim is to develop a more sophisticated approach to difficult genealogical questions, distant connections and the deeper roots of your family tree.
